Cougar Havoc BT Wireless Gaming Headset Review

Aesthetics & Build

So, this is a tough one for me. Reason being I have no issues with the overall design, in fact I much prefer these ear pieces than on most other sets. The hooks, I thought would have taken away from the overall design, but they actually seem to help. Overall, this is a cohesive design and unlike the Attila set, don’t rely heavily on the ‘gamer’ aesthetic (whatever this word means now).  Would have preferred hints of orange, on the cabling, but nonetheless, I think this design works well visually.

When handling the Havoc BT, it’s immediately obvious that this is a higher quality set than the Attila. It’s difficult to put my finger on it, but I think it’d partially the thicker cabling and better plastics which feel better to handle. The design itself is a little more refined and all these little differences go some distance into making the Havoc BT a better set. How much abuse these will take I can’t tell you, but being wireless means no cable damage around the 3.5mm plug joint. Where ear buds are concerned, they are of a better quality and actually feel better in the ear.

Overall, I’m quite happy with the build quality and the stylish choice of the set. Not to say they both can’t be improved upon, but at this price I’ve not come across significantly better quality.
