XFX RX 5600 XT THICC III Ultra Review

GPU Power Consumption & Temperatures

The XFX RX 5600 XT sips such little power, it makes it ideal for those running 400 Watt or similar PSUs. Power to performance ratio isn’t as great as the RX 5700 XT, but it’s impressive nonetheless. It is also via such a low power draw that we end up with the low temperatures despite the relatively thin and light heatsink fan complex. Impressive that for such little power you can get the kind of performance this card delivers.

Operating temperatures, may not seem as impressive, at first glance however be aware that fans stop when there’s no load. This is why we have a higher than expected idle temperature. The Rx 5700 XT and RTX 2060 Super shown are partner cards with exceptional coolers in their own right.

The temperature was recorded on the performance/normal BIOS and not the quiet one. The primary reason being there really is’t much of a difference between the two BIOS settings to warrant the switch.
