TheOverclocker Presents – Intel E-Core Evolved & 200S Plus Refresh Magazine

In this issue of TheOverclocker Magazine, we cover Intel’s efficiency cores, going from Crestmont in the 12th Gen Core CPUs, to the very latest Darkmont cores in Panther-Lake and Intel Cores Series 3 CPUs. We go over the meticulous design intentions and design philosophies that have changed how modern desktop processors are designed. This shift from pure performance cores in prior generations, to a more nuanced and elegant use of compute resources has changed the way applications are designed, and how we use our desktop processors. Increasing not only responsiveness, and performance but power efficiency and scaling. In this issue we aim to help illuminate this engineering feat over the last five years or so.

Also in this issue, we take a look at Intel’s refreshed 200S Plus CPUs. How they have fundamentally changed the narrative around this generation of CPUs. From a poor reception to being arguably the best value for money CPUs on the market. Offering unparalleled multi threading performance per watt and delivering respectable gaming performance. Add to which, Intel has done a commendable job with the integrated memory controller and along with its partners, such as GIGABYTE and CORSAIR, have pushed the limits for DDR5 memory frequency to new heights. Culminating in an incredible DDR5-13,605MT/s DRAM frequency record. A testament to the combined efforts and progress of the platform and all parties involved.
