MSI Shows Off Three Z77 Gaming Series Motherboards

Although all eyes are currently Intel’s upcoming LGA1150 platform featuring “Haswell” processors, MSI has brought the current flagship mainstream Intel chipset back into the spotlight with a trio of new Z77-based motherboards as part of the Gaming Series – the Z77-G43 Gaming, Z77A-G45 Gaming and Z77A-GD65 Gaming. These boards are kitted out with dual KillerNic network controllers for high transfer speeds and lower pings while gaming.

Z77A-G43 Gaming
At the bottom of the range of new boards, the MSI Z77A-G43 Gaming uses Military Class III components, has the two Killer E2200 network controllers, four DDR3 DIMM slots supporting dual-channel memory operation, two PCI-Express x16 slots with CrossFire support, two PCI-Express x1 slots, three legacy PCI slots, Creative Soundblaster Cinema 7.1 sound, and supports MSI’s OC Genie II one-touch overclocking.

Z77A-G45 Gaming
Slap-bang in the middle is the MSI Z77A-G45 Gaming, which is similar to the G43 but has several important changes. Two of the legacy PCI slots have been ditched in favor of an extra two PCI-Express x1 slots, SLI support is added, the SATA connectors are now angled off the edge of the board and the red heatsinks seen on the G43 have been swapped for two-tone red and black sinks.

Z77A-GD65 Gaming
The MSI Z77A-GD65 Gaming motherboard is the flagship model in the Gaming Series. Alongside everything its siblings offer, the GD65 drops the last remaining legacy PCI slot in favor of a third PCI-Express x16 slot with support for three-way SLI and CrossFire. A multitude of voltage measure points also make themselves known near the front edge of the board.

Pricing and availability are not yet known, but the boards are expected to land at a slightly higher price than their non-Gaming counterparts. Source — Hardware.info
