Antec High Current Pro Platinum 1000w PSU Spotted
Antec’s renowned High Current Pro range of PSUs is about to get a new addiction, the High Current Pro (HCP) Platinum 1000w. Seen at CeBIT 2012, the unit sports quad 40A 12v rails supplying up to the full 1000w on the 12v rail alone. The unit on display at CeBIT was fitted with acrylic windows in order to show off the Delta-made internals and didn’t have a fan, but was purely for demonstration purposes with the final retail product having a metal body and a 135 mm fan.
The rails are rated as follows:
- +3.3v: 25A
- +5v: 25A
- +12v1: 40A
- +12v2: 40A
- +12v3: 40A
- +12v4: 40A
- -12v: 0.5A
- +12vsb: 3A
The HCP Platinum 1000w offers a fully modular design and support for an upcoming 28-pin ATX motherboard connector is mentioned. The EPS 8-pin connectors are included as well as enough PCI-e connectors for four graphics cards. Source — lab501
