The Radeon HD 7990 will feature two “Tahiti” GPUs as seen on the HD 7970, but won’t be downclocked or have a portion disabled. Instead, the GPUs are set to run at 1.00 GHz, a fair bit faster than the original HD 7970 and only 50 MHz behind the HD 7970 GHz Edition. The GPUs will be full Tahiti samples, each with 2048 steam processors, 128 TMUs, 32 ROPs and 3 GB of GDDR5 running at an effective 6.00 GHz for a combined memory bandwidth of 576 GB/s.

A slide with 3DMark Fire Strike performance figures has also been leaked, showing scores for the Radeon HD 7990, GeForce GTX 690 and Titan. Using the Performance Preset, the Radeon HD 7990 was a full 16 percent faster than the GTX 690 and almost 30 percent faster than the Titan. The Extreme Preset showed similar results, with the performance gaps changing to 15 percent and 31 percent respectively. Source — Hermitage Akihabara
