ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB SSD Review

AS-SSD & Anvil Utilities

First up is AS-SSD and the old Anvil Storage Utilities test. Right off the bat we can see that the SX8200 Pro scores significantly higher than the Intel drive. Do keep in mind that the Intel drive is slightly older, but it was secure erased, and reformatted to bring is back it’s original state or as close to that as possible. A brand new drive may score a little higher, but still the SX8200 Pro is clearly ahead here.

We continue with the AS-SSD tests and look at more real world performance, where once again the situation is the same as above. The SX8200 Pro is simply faster, all around. Remember the SX8200 Pro costs a lot less than the Intel 760P at present, which in itself is a good drive, but no match for the ADATA offering.

What we see here pretty much continues in all the remaining benchmarks. ADATA’s SX8200 Pro is simply newer and more capable than the 760P, despite the much lower retail price.
