ADATA LEGEND 750 1TB SSD Review

Physical inspection

This drive contains IC’s only one side. The back is just a sticker with all the relevant drive information (model number, serial etc)

The heatsink included isn’t going to be adequate for intense sustained data throughput, but for most scenarios it should do the job. I do however recommend using your motherboard’s on built in cooling solution if available. ADATA has chosen the MAXIO MP1202A controller, used on DRAM cache-less drives primarily. It is a 4-channel controller and is featured on a number of newer entry level, but high performance Gen3 drives.

As a result of the controller, NAND used and the absence of DRAM caching, the Legend 750 is able to comes in at an aggressive price, while maintaining gamer\enthusiast grade performance to a large extent.
