ADATA ELITE SE880 1TB Review

Performance continued

TxBench is another test that pretty much repeats what we’ve seen from AS-SSD and CrystalDisk Mark. At the very least is shows the drive to be consistent in the near symmetrical performance between reads and writes.

Atto Disk Benchmark is one I usually use for actual SSD’s and not removable drives. However, the nature of this drive allows it to be tested much like one would any other SSD and here we can see a more realistic sequential performance figure of 1.75GB/s in writes as most and 1.95GB/s in reads.

Speed however isn’t all there is to this drive. When it’s been working for a while, it can get a touch warm as I recorded temperatures near 50’C during some writing sessions. This isn’t a temperature that will compromise data, but it can reduce performance.
