ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HERO (Wi-Fi) Review

Benchmarks – Maxxon Cinebench & Rendering tests

Ever since the original X370 chipset and 1st generation Ryzen CPUs. They have dominated the Maxxon Cinebench benchmarks. With the 3rd generaiton Ryzen and X570 chpiset, it’s no different. The advantage over the competition has increased tremendously. As an example, the current 12 core CineBench R15 record was broken by a Ryzen 9 3900X operating at only 5.2GHz. For comparison the previous record with the Core i9 7920X is now 6 points lower despite the massive 5.98GHz clock.

Once again the X570 chipset along with the Ryzen 5 3600 show their worth by beating the previous generation Ryzen 7 2700, despite the lower core/thread count. The improvements to the platform overall are quite remarkable. For rendering work, the 3rd generation Ryzen CPUs along with the X570 boards are the way to go.
