Corsair iCUE 465X RGB Review

Glamour shots – The iCUE 465X RGB

When fully decked out the iCUE 465X RGB looks a lot more premium than it actually is. As you can see, an additional LL120 RGB fan is a must as that’s what complete the look of the case. Even besides aesthetic qualities, you really do need to have an exhaust fan, especially if you’ll not be using liquid cooling.

Interior space is as expected from a mi-tower chassis. That said, the iCUE 465X RGB actually supports longer GPUs than the Crystal Series 680X, with the former supporting up to 370mm GPus vs 330mm for the 680X. This is but one of the advantages the iCUE 465X has over 680X you’d not know by simply looking at the cases next to each other.

One can in theory install three radiators here, but in reality you’ll end up using one 360mm or 280mm at the front and perhaps a single 120mm radiator for the rear exhaust. There’s not much space at the top however two 140mm fans should fit comfortably. Unlike the reas exhaust fan , that is readily visible, these need not be RGB as their location places them out of sight.

The iCUE 465X RGB holds up relatively well in the space department for it’s size. Cable management however can be challenging as there isn’t much clearance behind the rear panel.
