CORSAIR Force MP600 Review

Benchmarks

Crystal DiskMark & PCMark8

Crystal Disk Mark, as with the other testing software shows that the Force MP600 is comfortably ahead of its Gen3 x4 predecessor. True to CORSAIR’s claimed 4,950MB/s and 4,250MB/s read/write numbers, the Force MP600 reaches this stratospheric throughput with consistency. In Gen3 x4 mode, the read performance is near identical to what the Force MP510 delivers. Write performance however, is still superior on the newer drive.

In as far as the PCMark8 Storage test is concerned, it shows identical performance between the drives with a marginal advantage shown to the Force MP600. I’m not sure why this is the case but suffice to say it is the result that the benchmark kept giving. Still, it’s an impressive result when you consider that a modern 2.5″ SATA SSD delivers a storage bandwidth figure of only 180 ~ 190MB/s.
