Software – ADATA SSD Toolbox

The ADATA SSD Toolbox offers a slew of options and features, some of which are useful while others not so much. Probably the most handy of the lot is the ability to trigger a warning at a certain temperature, or when the drive drops below a certain level of life remaining.

Other than that, one has the option to monitor SMART information, check for firmware updates, run the TRIM command, enable or disable prefetch, perform a full diagnostic on the drive and more.

Perhaps the biggest downside is subjective, and that is the assault of RGB colours all over the utility. Again, this is subjective, and some might quite like it. Personally, I’m glad that they prioritized function over form.
